BLAIR MUI DOWD ANNOUNCES NEW ASSOCIATES: MICHAEL MANDEVILLE, AIA AND VERENA KOENIG, LEED AP

Blair + Mui Dowd Architects is pleased to announce the promotion of both Verena Koenig, LEED AP and Michael Mandeville, AIA to firm Associates.

Michael joined B+MD in 2005 and has been responsible for the planning and design of institutional, educational and community facility projects. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Northeastern University, and a Masters inArchitecture from the University of Michigan Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning.

Michael has designed research facilities for Vanderbilt University Medical Center, including the VANTAGE Laboratory, the CSLSC Drug Discovery Laboratory, and the Biochemistry and Molecular Physiology and Biophysics Laboratory.

He is an integral team member involved in the planning and design of educational and community facilities including the Arverne by-the-Sea YMCA, Founders Park Community Pavilions and renovation of the Langford Auditorium at Vanderbilt University. He is currently designing the Graduate Center Expansion for the City University of New York. Michael is a registered architect in the state of New York.

Verena is currently the Project Manager for the $110 million Monroe Carrell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt vertical expansion in Nashville, Tennessee. She is designing the interior renovation of a computer lab for Baruch College, New york City, and the finish master plan for Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Verena joined Blair + Mui Dowd Architects in 2008 and is a LEED Accredited Professional.
