Client

The Cafeteria Renovation at Columbia Memorial Hospital expanded and renovated the existing servery and dining areas of the hospital through a phased construction process, conceived through close coordination with the hospital and contractor to minimize disruption to patients, staff and visitors.

The renovation combined an existing doctor’s lounge with the existing public cafeteria, and was designed on a very limited budget to modernize the facility. Through upgrading the finishes throughout the cafeteria, and focusing the design on the central food service counter, the design enforced a circulation to visually separate the servery from the dining area, and provide a way to organize the food service equipment within a single large space, while providing natural light to all areas.
