Type

As part of a larger waterproofing & structural repair project, the main pedestrian plaza, which provides access to the majority of campus buildings, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center is to be redesigned. Implementing green roof components to distinguish gathering areas and stress circulation patterns, the design will focus on way-finding through the campus, and activating the plaza which connects the clinical and research components of the medical center. Approximately 58,000sf of plaza will be renovated to include new site furniture, bike racks, exterior lighting, an irrigation system, concrete planters and grade-level planting areas.
